Aragon AI review 2026: pricing, privacy and how good the headshots are
Aragon AI turns selfies into 40 to 100 studio-style headshots from $35 one-time. We weigh pricing, likeness, refunds and its 30-day face data deletion policy.

Our verdict on Aragon AI
Aragon AI is a fast, realistic headshot service with clear one-time pricing and stronger privacy terms than most rivals. Use it for a LinkedIn or team photo if you will sort through a batch for keepers; skip it if you want a free tool or need every image to match your face exactly.
Pricing Headshot packs (one-time, 20% sale): Basic $35 (40 photos), Standard $45 (60), Executive $75 (100); list $44/$56/$94. Subscriptions from $15/mo (Lite), $29 Pro, $49 Ultimate, $249 Creator. Limited, waitlisted free generator.
Visit Aragon AIAragon AI is a paid AI headshot generator: you upload a few selfies, it trains on your face and returns 40 to 100 studio-style portraits in 15 to 45 minutes, for a one-time fee that starts at $35 during its current 20% sale (Aragon pricing). I think it's one of the better choices if you want a realistic work photo without booking a photographer. The catch is likeness: independent testers and users agree that only part of each batch looks convincingly like you.
Nobody at The AI Future ran a hands-on test for this review, so there are no screenshots of our own face here. We compared Aragon using its official pricing, privacy and refund pages, published independent tests and recent Trustpilot reviews, as of late October 2026. Where someone else did the testing, we say who.
About Aragon AI
Aragon AI is a web-based service from Aragon AI, Inc. that turns casual photos into professional headshots for LinkedIn, CVs, company pages and speaker bios. The company says it is "built by AI researchers and alumni from MIT, Meta, and Google" and claims more than 47 million photos generated for over 2.8 million professionals and teams (Aragon). Those are its own numbers, and as far as I can tell nobody audits them.
The service works like a small photo studio run as a pipeline, in five steps.
- Pick a pack and your styles. You choose attire and backgrounds from curated menus.
- Answer a short questionnaire. Age range, gender, hair, eye colour and similar details steer the output. Digital Camera World's tester was asked about body type, ethnicity and hair length before uploading (Digital Camera World).
- Upload your selfies. Aragon checks each photo and rejects ones that break its rules, such as group shots or mirror selfies. Fritz.ai reports a minimum of 6 and maximum of 14 uploads (Fritz.ai).
- Wait for generation. The model learns your face and produces the batch. You get an email when it's ready.
- Review, edit, download. You preview everything, fix weak shots with the editing tools, and download the keepers.
That pipeline explains both the strength and the weakness. Because Aragon learns from several photos, it can render you in poses and lighting that none of your selfies contain. But it can drift toward a polished person who only resembles you, and your uploads set the ceiling.
Aragon has also grown well beyond headshots. Its site now lists a photo generator, a photo editor, video and audio tools, and access to third-party models such as Seedance, Kling, GPT Image and Nano Banana (Aragon). This review focuses on the headshot product, which is what most people search for.
Key features
Headshot packs with up to 100 photos
Every pack is a one-time purchase. You get 40, 60 or 100 headshots depending on tier, with more outfit and background choices as you go up (Aragon pricing). Volume is the point (and, honestly, the smartest part of the pitch): with 100 images, you only need a handful to be right.
Fast turnaround
Aragon's pricing cards list 45 minutes for Basic, 30 minutes for Standard and 15 minutes for Executive (Aragon pricing). Fast.io called the 15-minute premium turnaround one of Aragon's key strengths (Fast.io).
Editing and Remix tools
After generation you can change backgrounds and outfits or regenerate individual shots. Fast.io highlights the Remix feature for adjusting single headshots after the batch is done (Fast.io). Fritz.ai says every pack includes 60 edit credits and each edit costs 2 credits (Fritz.ai). Several Trustpilot reviewers, though, complain that swapping outfits eats credits (Trustpilot).
Free redo and refund ladder
If the batch misses, Aragon offers a free regeneration through support first, then a refund if you meet its rules (Aragon pricing). The rules are strict, as the pricing section explains.
Team accounts
The Headshots for Teams plans add an admin dashboard, email or link invites, single sign-on, multiple admins, domain-restricted invites and bulk downloads. Aragon says teams can save up to 20% when buying credits in bulk.
Usage rights
Aragon states that the photos "are yours to use however you'd like, including social media, professional profiles, print, and personal use" (Aragon pricing).
Aragon AI pricing and plans
Aragon sells two different things: one-time headshot packs, and monthly subscriptions for its wider photo and video tools. If you only want headshots, you only need a pack. Prices below come from the pricing page in late October 2026 (checked October 2026).
| Headshot pack | Price (sale) | List price | Headshots | Generation time | Attire / backgrounds | Resolution |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $35 | $44 | 40 | 45 min | 1 / 1 | 896 x 1088 px |
| Standard | $45 | $56 | 60 | 30 min | 2 / 2 | 896 x 1088 px |
| Executive | $75 | $94 | 100 | 15 min | All / all | 1792 x 2176 px |
The sale prices sit under a "20% off all packages limited time only!" banner. Atlas Cloud saw the same banner and the same prices when it read the page in August 2026 (Atlas Cloud), so the "limited time" offer has been running for months.
I'd budget for the list price anyway, in case it ends. Aragon labels Standard as the pick of 83% of buyers.
The subscriptions are listed in the pricing page's structured data at $15 a month (Lite), $29 (Pro), $49 (Ultimate) and $249 (Creator) (Aragon pricing). According to Fritz.ai, those tiers include 300, 1,200, 2,400 and 12,000 monthly credits, monthly credits don't roll over, and annual billing saves 25%. Team pricing is on a separate tab; Atlas Cloud recorded Teams Basic at $45 per person for 100 headshots each (Atlas Cloud).
The free plan
The paid headshot packs have no free version. Aragon does run a separate free AI headshot generator that comes with every account, but the fine print is blunt: "Free headshots are offered on a limited basis through our waitlist, which may be paused or delayed depending on demand." The same page admits the free output "won't have the same studio-quality photorealism" as the paid product. I'd treat it as a demo, not a free alternative.
Refund rules to read before you click download
Aragon's refund policy offers a redo or a full refund, with conditions. Refund requests must arrive within 14 calendar days of purchase. You must have followed the upload instructions. And "downloading your photos is considered as using your product," so a download normally ends your claim to a full refund; after that it is case by case. Team plans only get partial refunds for unused credits. Subscription refunds need a request within 14 days and no credits used in that billing period.
Aragon AI discount codes
Search for an Aragon AI discount code or coupon code and you'll find dozens of sites promising extra savings. We didn't verify any of them. The only discount we could confirm on Aragon's own site is the 20% sale already built into the prices above. Aragon also runs a referral programme and an affiliate scheme paying a 30% commission (Aragon pricing), which probably explains why so many coupon pages exist.
A worked example: cost per usable photo
Raw price per image is easy: $35 / 40 = $0.88 on Basic, and $0.75 on both Standard and Executive. The number that matters is cost per keeper. Fritz.ai's advice is to "plan for a realistic 10-25% keeper rate, not the 90% Aragon advertises" (Fritz.ai). Apply that to Executive:
- Batch: 100 headshots for $75.
- Keepers at 10%: 10 photos, so $7.50 each.
- Keepers at 25%: 25 photos, so $3.00 each.
- Studio comparison: Aragon cites an average of $250 for a one-hour US photoshoot (Aragon pricing).
Even at the pessimistic end, a single good photo costs a fraction of a shoot. The risk isn't price; it's getting zero photos you like, which is why the refund rule matters.
Photo privacy and data retention
You're uploading your face, which some laws treat as biometric data. Aragon's privacy policy is more specific than most in this category, and it covers the following.
- Consent first. Aragon processes "face data" only with your consent, given through a checkbox at signup. It says it doesn't identify or authenticate people in uploaded images.
- No model training by vendors. "We contractually prohibit our AI service providers from using face data to train generalized AI models or create pooled face training datasets." Your inputs are sent to third-party AI model providers to generate results, and Aragon publishes a subprocessor list.
- No sale of face data. "We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from face data."
- 30-day face data deletion. Aragon will permanently delete or anonymise face data within 30 days after the earliest of: delivery of your photos, your deletion request, account closure, an employer's configured retention period, or one year from collection. Active subscribers are the exception: their face data can be kept until the subscription ends.
- Generated content stays longer. Account data and user content are kept for the life of the account plus 30 days after closure. Some records, such as consent logs and ban records, are kept indefinitely.
- Deletion on demand. You can delete content or close your account from settings, or file a request through the privacy rights portal.
- Ad tracking. The site uses Facebook, TikTok and Google Ads cookies, and Aragon says you can opt out of "sale or sharing" for cross-context advertising via its Do Not Sell link or Global Privacy Control.
On security, Aragon says it uses AES-256 encryption and is SOC 2 Type II certified, audited by Prescient Security via Vanta (Aragon). Fritz.ai rated privacy as a strength for that reason (Fritz.ai).
Aragon's terms also require consent if you upload anyone else's photo, and ban using the service to depict a person without consent or to create nude or sexually explicit images of a real person. That's the right line, in my view. Use it for your own headshots, or for colleagues who have agreed through a company rollout. Making deceptive or intimate images of real people without consent is harmful and illegal in many places.
A practical checklist: download what you need soon after delivery, delete your account if you won't return, cancel a subscription you don't use (it extends face data retention), and turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Performance and independent testing
Independent results line up on one pattern: Aragon looks like one of the more realistic dedicated headshot services, but not every image looks like you.
- Fast.io ranked Aragon first in a nine-tool comparison, writing that it "consistently produced the most realistic headshots in our testing," with natural skin tones and believable lighting (Fast.io).
- Digital Camera World's photographer Ariane Sherine Juniper, who received a free trial, found the 100 results "extremely convincing and flattering." She noted a few fake-looking catchlights, frizzier hair and slightly darker skin, and called the standard output "weirdly low-res" (Digital Camera World).
- Entrepreneur, in an earlier three-tool test (with a free upgrade from Aragon), picked Aragon as the winner because "it noticed the little details, down to the shape of the glasses I wear," but concluded its output wasn't LinkedIn-ready "yet" (Entrepreneur).
- Fritz.ai praised speed, the 6-selfie minimum and privacy, but called likeness "a coin flip," citing other reviewers' tests where features such as eyebrows, teeth and skin texture were altered (Fritz.ai).
One conflict to flag: Fast.io and Fritz.ai quote output up to about 2048 x 2560 pixels, while Aragon's own FAQ gives 896 x 1088 for Basic and Standard and 1792 x 2176 for Executive (Aragon pricing). We go with Aragon's figures. Either way, LinkedIn's 400 x 400 recommendation is easily met; print is where Basic and Standard fall short.
The limits
- Likeness drift. Faces can come out smoother, younger or more "average" than you. One Trustpilot reviewer said his results were based too much on the average looks of men aged 50 to 65, and that he looks younger in build (Trustpilot).
- Clothing and colour. Outfits that don't fit or look dated are the most common specific complaint in recent reviews (Trustpilot, 1-star reviews).
- Classic AI artefacts. Teeth, hands and fingers still go wrong occasionally; one reviewer found six fingers in a photo (Trustpilot).
- Bad inputs. Low light, filters, or near-identical selfies give weak results. Our guide on making an AI headshot look more realistic covers the input side.
- Possible quality swings. One October 2026 reviewer said that "within the last couple of months the lighting, realistic feel, and overall photos are way off" (Trustpilot). That's one voice, but it's worth watching.
Who Aragon AI is for

| Your company wants matching staff photos | Yes | Team admin, SSO and bulk downloads |
| You need large prints or billboards | Executive only | Basic and Standard are 896 x 1088 px |

Aragon AI alternatives
- Google Gemini is probably the best free starting point. Google's plans page lists image generation and editing on the free tier, so you can turn one selfie into a headshot with a prompt. It works from a single photo, so consistency across a set is weaker.
- HeadshotPro is built around teams. Its prices start at $29 one-time for 30 headshots for individuals, team credit bundles, and optional 30-day automatic results deletion on team plans.
- BetterPic delivers 4K images on every plan and offers a 7-day refund if training hasn't started (BetterPic), which suits anyone who needs print resolution.

Verdict: who should use it and who should skip it
I'd give Aragon AI a 4 out of 5. It's a mature, fast headshot service with clear pricing, a 4.6 Trustpilot score from more than 7,300 reviews (Trustpilot) and one of the more detailed privacy policies in the category, including 30-day face data deletion. It should suit you if you want a believable professional photo quickly and are willing to sort through a batch to find the good ones. Standard is probably enough for a LinkedIn refresh; Executive makes sense if you need print resolution or the full wardrobe.
Skip it if you want something free, if you need every photo to match your face exactly, or if you aren't prepared to judge the preview carefully before downloading, since that click ends your easy refund.
FAQ
Which AI is best for headshots?
For a free headshot from one selfie, Google Gemini is the strongest option in late 2026. For a large, consistent set that looks like studio photography, a dedicated service such as Aragon AI is likely better: independent tester Fast.io ranked it most realistic. Teams often prefer HeadshotPro, and BetterPic suits print because it delivers 4K.
How much does Aragon AI cost?
Aragon AI headshot packs are one-time purchases: $35 for 40 photos, $45 for 60 and $75 for 100 during the current 20% sale, with list prices of $44, $56 and $94. Separate monthly subscriptions for its wider photo tools start at $15. Team plans are priced per person on a separate tab. The sale has run for months, so I'd expect most buyers to pay the sale prices.
Is there a working Aragon AI discount code?
We couldn't verify any third-party Aragon AI coupon code. The only confirmed discount in late October 2026 is the 20% sale shown on Aragon's own pricing page, which is already applied at checkout. Be wary of coupon sites: many are affiliate pages earning commission on your purchase rather than offering real savings.
Is Aragon AI safe for my photos?
Aragon says it deletes or anonymises face data within 30 days of delivering your photos, bars its AI vendors from training general models on it and doesn't sell it. It also claims SOC 2 Type II certification. Subscribers' face data can be kept until the subscription ends, and ad cookies are used, so read the policy first.
How many photos does Aragon AI need?
Aragon says a few selfies are enough, and independent reviews put the minimum at six, with Fritz.ai reporting a maximum of 14. More variety helps: different days, lighting, angles and expressions. Avoid group shots, mirror selfies, sunglasses and heavy filters, since Aragon rejects or struggles with them.
