I wanted to know one thing about Viggle AI: can it make a photo of your cat do a convincing TikTok dance, and what does that cost you? Short answer: Viggle AI is a character-animation app that takes a still image and makes it copy the moves from a video, and yes, it's free to start, with five free videos a day. Free clips carry a watermark and you'll queue for one generation at a time, so anything regular or commercial means paying from $7.99 a month on annual billing.

Quick honesty note before we go further. Nobody at The AI Future ran our own hands-on test for this review, so you won't find stopwatch timings or screenshots of my cat here. Instead, I went through Viggle's official pricing and model pages, its App Store listing, other reviewers' write-ups, a YouTube walkthrough and a batch of user reviews, all as of late October 2026. Where someone else did the testing, I say who.

If you landed here after typing "veggie ai", "viggie ai" or "wiggle ai", you're in the right place. Autocorrect hates this name.

The one-line verdict: Viggle is still the fun, fast choice for putting a character into a moving clip. It isn't a full video studio, and the credit system and short clips will frustrate anyone who expects one.

What is Viggle AI?

Viggle AI is a generative video tool built by a Toronto company of the same name, founded in 2022 by CEO Hang Chu. It raised a $19 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz in August 2024, when it already claimed a Discord community of four million members. The publisher of the iOS app is listed as WarpEngine Canada Inc..

The core idea is motion transfer. You give Viggle a picture of a character (a selfie, a cartoon, a game avatar, your boss in a suit) and a reference video of someone moving, and it animates the character so it performs those moves. Under the hood it runs on Viggle's own model, JST-1, which the company describes as a "video-3D foundation model" with an understanding of physics, according to its funding announcement. A comparison page from Solmi says Viggle now claims more than 50 million users, though that's the company's number, not an audited one.

That's where those viral clips of famous people doing ridiculous dances came from. It's also why Viggle sits in its own slot: it's less a text-to-video generator and more a puppet machine for characters you already have. If you want the wider picture, see our guide to the best AI video generators.

Key features

Here's what Viggle offers in late October 2026 and, more usefully, what other testers and users say about whether each part actually works.

Move: animate a photo with a reference video

This is the main event. Upload a character image and a motion clip, and Viggle maps the movement onto your character. Reviewers keep landing on the same strengths and weaknesses. AISO Tools calls motion transfer Viggle's "standout feature" and praises its consistent body proportions, while also warning about artifacts with complex poses, stylised art and non-human characters. Viggle's own workflow notes, as quoted by AI Indigo, admit that "Fast actions may lose detail" and that hidden limbs can cause glitches. So a clean, front-facing dance clip works better than a breakdancer spinning behind a sofa.

Mix and the template library

Mix drops your character into an existing clip, either one you upload or one of the 8,000+ templates Viggle offers, according to Solmi. This is the meme engine. It's quick, and it's where most of the app-store fans spend their time. One catch: templates can come with music attached. One App Store reviewer said the track came with the template and "the app didn't warn me".

Multi-Track and Character Refine

Multi-Track lets you swap up to seven characters in one video. A May 2026 tutorial by Esmile Ai covers this alongside a tool it calls Character Refine, which is meant to keep faces stable across camera angles, as part of what the creator describes as Viggle V4. Viggle's own pages that I read don't use the "V4" label, so treat that name as the YouTuber's.

Mic, Rap and lip-sync

Mic makes a character lip-sync to typed text, your recorded voice or Viggle's music library, and Rap makes a photo rap, per Solmi's feature rundown. It's handy for talking-head memes, though AISO Tools lists silent output as a weakness of the core animation tools, so expect to finish sound elsewhere.

Live: real-time character swap

Live swaps you for a character over your webcam in real time, which streamers will like. Free users get 5 minutes of Real-Time Swap, Pro gets 30 minutes, the Live plan gets 6+ hours and Max is unlimited.

Seedance 2.0 inside Viggle

Viggle now hosts ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 model too, which turns text, images, video and audio into clips up to 15 seconds long at 720p to 1080p, with multiple shots per generation. Here's a small annoyance: the Seedance page says it's "Available on all paid plans," while the pricing page says Pro gets all models except Seedance. Assume you need Live or Max until Viggle sorts that out.

PINOC and the API

PINOC turns phone video into motion capture for game engines, and it's billed separately, starting at $10.39 a month. Developers can also use Viggle's API at $0.01 per credit, with 100 free credits for new accounts.

Viggle AI pricing and plans

Prices below come from Viggle's official pricing page, cross-checked with Solmi's October 2026 snapshot. The pricing page shows the yearly-billed figure up front with the monthly price crossed out, which can make it look like a discount when it's really just annual billing. Checked October 2026, US dollars, before tax.

PlanMonthly billingYearly billing (per month)Credits/monthKey limits
Free$0$005 videos/day, watermark, 1 generation at a time, 1-minute uploads, 7-day storage
Pro$9.99$7.9980No watermark, 4 at a time, 10-minute uploads, all models except Seedance, 30 min real-time swap
Live$19.99$15.992006 at a time, all models including Seedance, 6+ hours real-time swap
Max$79.99$63.9980010 at a time, all models, unlimited real-time swap

Watch out if you subscribe inside the iPhone app. The App Store listing shows Pro at $4.99 a week, $9.99 a month or $95.90 a year, but the Live plan at $24.99 a month, $5 more than on the web. Credits also behave in a slightly sneaky way: monthly plan credits expire on your billing date, and bought credits only work while you're subscribed. Each feature burns a different number of credits, which AISO Tools rightly flags as opaque.

Is Viggle AI free? What the free plan really includes

Yes, Viggle AI is free in 2026. The free plan gives you 5 videos a day, one generation at a time, limited multi-character sessions, 5 minutes of real-time swap, uploads up to one minute and 7 days of storage. Videos are watermarked, according to Solmi, and you get no monthly credits or Seedance access.

That's enough to play. It's not enough to run a meme page. Users notice: one App Store reviewer said the app "only lets you do like 4 free videos a day" but is still fun, and another was furious about the storage limit: "You expire our videos after 7 days. Seven. Days." Download anything you like straight away. For other no-cost options, see our list of free AI video generators.

Performance and independent testing

Here's the honest state of the evidence: there's a lot of Viggle content online, and very little of it is careful testing. Several "reviews" I read, including AISO Tools and AI Indigo, don't describe any hands-on tests of their own, and both carry affiliate or sponsored links. So I've weighted user reports and Viggle's own documented limits more heavily than star ratings on blogs.

A few patterns hold up across sources:

On the video side, Esmile Ai's May 2026 walkthrough, which had about 20,000 views when I checked, is titled "Viggle V4 Fixes Everything". That's enthusiastic, and the description includes an affiliate disclosure and a sign-up discount, so read it as a tutorial rather than a neutral verdict. It's still useful for seeing Multi-Track and Character Refine in motion.

Ratings around the web are thin. On the App Store, Viggle AI: Meme Maker averages 4.8 out of 5 from about 28,000 ratings, and Solmi reports 10M+ Android downloads. G2 has no reviews at all yet. The happy reviews are mostly about fun, for example "It's rally good for edits" (typo theirs), while the unhappy ones are about limits, paywalls and generation failures.

Who it's for

Meme makers and short-form creators. This is Viggle's home turf. Templates, character swaps and quick dances are exactly what it does best.

Streamers. The Live plan's real-time swap is a genuine reason to pay, if you'll use those hours.

Animators and indie game devs. Motion transfer is a fast way to rough out previs, and PINOC adds phone-based motion capture, although that's a separate bill.

Who should skip it? Anyone who needs long, polished videos with sound, precise control over every frame, or characters that aren't roughly human-shaped. If you mainly want to animate a still picture into a cinematic shot, our guide to image-to-video AI tools will suit you better.

Viggle AI alternatives worth considering

  • Higgsfield AI: pick it if you want cinematic camera moves and effects rather than character puppetry. Read our Higgsfield AI review.
  • Sora: OpenAI's video generator suits text-to-video scenes built from scratch. Our Sora AI review covers access and pricing.
  • Leonardo AI: a good pick if you need to design the character image first, then animate it. See our Leonardo AI review.

Verdict: who should use Viggle AI and who should skip it

Viggle AI does one thing really well. Give it a person-shaped character and a clean motion clip, and you get a shareable, often very funny video in minutes, for free if five a day is enough. The App Store crowd clearly loves it.

The rough edges are real, though. Clips are short, credits are hard to predict, the free plan's watermark and 7-day storage push you towards paying, and the app's pricing (including a pricier Live plan on iOS) changes more often than I'd like. Seedance access is also confusingly described. If you make memes, dance edits or stream, start free and move to Pro or Live if you hit the ceiling. If you need long, controllable, polished video, skip it and look at a full generator instead.
