Runable AI review 2026: features, pricing, pros and cons
Runable AI is a general agent that turns one prompt into sites, slides and videos. We weigh its free credits, $20 Pro plan, independent tests and user complaints.

Our verdict on Runable AI
Runable AI is a fast, wide-ranging agent for producing first-draft websites, decks and videos, and its free daily credits make it easy to try. Non-technical founders and small teams should try it; skip paid plans if you need predictable costs, production code or strong compliance paperwork.
Pricing Free (1,500 daily credits); Pro $20/mo ($180/yr); Max $100/mo ($840/yr); prices listed August to October 2026 and have changed this year
Visit Runable AIHere is the short version. Runable AI is a general-purpose AI agent: you describe a task in plain English and it plans, researches, builds and hands back a finished file or live page, such as a website, a slide deck, a video or a report. It has a free plan with a daily credit refill, and paid plans started at $20 a month in the most recent listings we found. It is quick at producing visual first drafts. The weak spots are credit consumption, billing and support.
Nobody at The AI Future ran Runable for this review. We put it together from Runable's published plan details, two hands-on tests by other reviewers, TechCrunch's reporting and the public user reviews we could find, all as of late October 2026. When a claim comes from someone else's test, we say whose.

What is Runable AI?
Runable is one agent that keeps shared context and memory across many kinds of work. Think of it as a loop, not a chatbot. It reads your goal, asks a few clarifying questions, writes a plan, picks tools (search, code sandbox, image or video models, a database), runs them, checks the output and gives you a file or URL. The iOS listing sums it up as "Make AI slides, apps, videos."
The company behind it was founded in 2025 by Umesh Kumar (CEO) and Saksham Sarda and is based in Bengaluru, according to TechCrunch. It started as an infrastructure startup building browser technology for large-scale scraping, then pivoted after users kept asking it for slide decks and websites. In August 2026 it raised a $21 million Series A co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, at a $65 million post-money valuation. TechCrunch reported about 1.7 million registered users and a 15-person team. It also reported that Runable hit a $2 million annualised revenue run rate within three weeks of turning on payments in March. That revenue figure is self-reported.
The pitch has also changed. Runable no longer sells itself only as a builder; it wants to help you grow a business too. Pulse 2's funding report lists ad management, social posting, cold email, competitor monitoring, SEO and customer support as the post-launch jobs it is moving into. Kumar told TechCrunch it is not trying to beat Codex or Claude Code for developers: "In the end, a business doesn’t require Codex or Claude Code or anything. They require real outcomes".

Key features
Runable AI website and app builder
The app builder makes small live products: booking sites, order forms, FAQ pages and simple customer list managers. Dupple's review says these come with a free database, a free subdomain and Stripe payments, so a page can take money on day one. TechCrunch's reporter had it build and deploy a site for a fictional coffee subscription business. The output is a hosted result rather than a code repository you maintain. That is the right trade-off if you can't code, and the wrong one if you want full control of the stack.
Runable AI presentation and content tools
Slides are Runable's best-known output. Dupple also lists social carousels, short videos and clips, images, newsletter drafts and a Canvas mode. In Unite.AI's test, finished decks could be exported as PPTX or PDF, or opened in Google Slides or Google Drive. That matters, because you will usually want to finish a deck by hand.
Research and reports
The research side covers document summaries, deeper multi-source research and price tracking, according to Dupple. Unite.AI's test was a research job (more below), and the plan step stood out: Runable flagged that third-party pricing data was unreliable and chose official vendor pages instead.
Runable AI agent in your chat apps
You don't have to use the web app. Dupple lists Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, iMessage and Discord as channels, plus a Notetaker and voice control called Flow. Paid tiers add 100+ curated workflows. Future Stack Reviews tested the Discord route in April and found that direct messages worked, but none of five @mentions in a shared channel got a reply. That was not retested as of their June update.
Models, plugins and skills
Runable is multi-model. Dupple's September list includes GPT 6 Astra, Claude Opus 5, Claude Sonnet 5.0, Gemini 3.5 Flash, GLM 5.3, Grok 4.6, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and Kimi K3, and TechCrunch says Runable also uses some models it builds itself. Runable advertises 3,000+ plugins and customisable Agent Skills. Future Stack noted that its dashboard showed "Showing top 50 connectors", so check that the specific integration you need actually works.
Runable AI pricing and plans
Runable charges in credits, and the price list has moved around this year. The table below uses the most recent figures we found (Dupple, Findstack and AIPicks, dated August to October 2026). Checked October 2026.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Credits | Notable extras |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | n/a | 1,500 per day (refills) | Site/app building, slides, image and video generation, Notetaker, multi-model chat, plugins |
| Pro | $20 | $180/yr ($15/mo) | 25,000 per month plus 1,500 per day | 100+ workflows, cross-channel assistant, free database, Stripe, analytics, subdomain |
| Max | $100 | $840/yr | 150,000 per month plus 1,500 per day | Unlimited chats in Ask mode |
Sources: Dupple for credits and inclusions, Findstack for annual prices (updated 26 August 2026) and AIPicks, which listed the same $20 and $100 tiers in October. Dupple also mentions limited-time ad credits ($50 on Pro, $300 on Max).
Two caveats. First, pricing has changed: in April, Future Stack paid a $1 first-month promo on a "Starter" plan that auto-renewed at $25, and Runable's docs then listed $25, $50 and $200 tiers. Second, the App Store listing shows more in-app options than the web tables, including a £5 Basic plan, Pro variants at £24.99 and £49.99, and credit top-ups from £14.99 to £99.99. Confirm the price on the checkout page before you pay.
What the free plan really includes
The free plan gets the core builders (sites, apps, slides, carousels, images and video) and a 1,500-credit daily refill, per AIPicks. It does not get the monthly credit pool or the curated workflows. Unite.AI noted that new users start on the free plan with 1,500 credits.
Here is a worked example. If you used the free plan every day, 1,500 × 30 = 45,000 credits a month, more on paper than Pro's 25,000 monthly pool. But the daily credits refill rather than roll over, so one big build day is capped at 1,500. Pro's value is the pool you can burn in one sitting: 25,000 + 1,500 = 26,500 credits available on day one. Runable's own reply to an App Store reviewer says credits "don't have a fixed "X credits per task" cost." So you can't price a project in advance, only watch the meter.
Performance and independent testing
Two outside reviewers published detailed hands-on tests, and their results point the same way.
Unite.AI (August 2026). Janine Heinrichs asked Runable, in Agent mode with Plan Mode on, to "Research the top 5 trending AI productivity tools right now," verify pricing, build a comparison, chart it and export a PDF. Runable asked five clarifying questions, produced a plan "in a matter of seconds," and, in her words, "A few minutes later, the markdown brief, heatmap, and PDF were complete." A follow-up summary slide took seconds. Her verdict: "Overall, Runable AI is a great tool if you want one place to research, build, and create different types of content." Her main warning: "Credits can disappear quickly, especially on bigger tasks that involve video generation."
Future Stack Reviews (April 2026, rechecked June). Takashi Fujino ran one prompt set through eight routes and logged usage. On the web app with Plan mode on, the Lite, Pro and Max model tiers used 56, 162 and 390 units. With Plan mode off they used 26, 207 and 180, so Pro cost more than Max on the same prompt in that single run. A Discord DM used 25. He spent 24,454 of 25,000 monthly credits during testing and decided within 12 hours to cancel before renewal, though he still called it "still interesting for solo creators who want fast visual artifacts."
TechCrunch (August 2026). Runable built and deployed a website and prepared an ad campaign, but couldn't run the ads until an ad account was connected.
Where it breaks
- Credit predictability. No fixed cost per task, and Future Stack saw a 500-credit gap the UI didn't explain. Budget with a margin.
- Shared chat channels. Discord channel @mentions failed in April testing; DMs worked.
- Depth. Dupple and Unite.AI both say specialist tools give more control for serious video editing, analytics or production code.
- Compliance. Future Stack found no public DPA, subprocessor list, SOC 2 or EU data-residency option. That rules it out for regulated data until Runable publishes them.
- Billing and support. All five Trustpilot reviews are 1-star, citing refunds, card removal and account deletion (see below).
Runable's economics matter here too. TechCrunch reported negative gross margins, partly because the company subsidises AI usage. Generous credits today may not stay generous, which may explain the price changes.
Who it's for
| If you are... | Runable is... |
|---|---|
| A solo founder needing a landing page, deck and launch video this week | A good fit; start on Free |
| A marketer making carousels and short clips | Worth trying, but watch video credit use |
| A developer wanting a maintainable codebase | The wrong tool; use a coding agent |
| A team handling EU or regulated customer data | Hold off until compliance documents exist |
| Someone who needs predictable monthly costs | Risky; credits per task vary |
Runable AI alternatives worth considering
- Genspark. TechCrunch names it, with Manus, as Runable's closest competitor. It is also an all-in-one agent for decks, docs and research. See our Genspark AI review.
- Gamma. If slides are the main job, a dedicated presentation tool gives you more design control. Read our Gamma AI review.
- Emergent or Cursor. For real apps you will maintain, a builder that gives you the code is the safer choice. See our Emergent AI review and Cursor review.
Verdict
Runable AI does what it advertises: one prompt in, a usable visual draft out, often in minutes, across more formats than most rivals. The free daily credits make it cheap to try. The risks are around the product rather than in it: credits you can't predict, prices that have changed several times this year, thin compliance paperwork and a run of angry billing and refund complaints.
Use it if you are a non-technical founder or small team who wants pages, decks and videos fast, and you can live with checking the output. Skip it, or stay on Free, if you need predictable costs, production-grade code or a vendor that can pass a security review. We rate it 3.5 out of 5.
FAQ
What is Runable AI?
Runable AI is a general-purpose AI agent from a Bengaluru startup founded in 2025. You describe a task in plain English and it plans, researches and builds the result: a website, app, slide deck, video, report or carousel. It runs on the web, iOS, Android and chat apps such as Slack and Discord.
Is Runable AI free?
Yes. The free plan gives you 1,500 credits that refill daily and covers site and app building, slides, images and video. Paid plans add a monthly credit pool: Pro was listed at $20 a month and Max at $100 a month in late 2026. Check runable.com for current prices, since they have changed this year.
Is Runable AI the same as "runnable AI"?
Usually, yes. "Runnable AI" is a common misspelling of Runable, the agent at runable.com. It is not related to Runway, the AI video company, or to the generic programming term "runnable".
Is Runable AI safe to use for business data?
Use caution. Future Stack Reviews reported Google Cloud hosting in Oregon but found no public data processing agreement, subprocessor list, SOC 2 report or EU data-residency option as of mid-2026. Avoid putting regulated or sensitive customer data into it until those documents are published.
How many credits does a task use?
There is no fixed rate. Runable says credits don't have a fixed per-task cost, and one independent test saw a single prompt use between 26 and 390 units depending on the model tier and Plan mode. Video generation uses credits fastest, according to Unite.AI.

What users are saying
Public user reviews are scarce: we could read only 8 (all 5 on Trustpilot, June to October 2026, and 3 quoted on the UK App Store page), far fewer than we would like, and Future Stack Reviews found no Hacker News, Indie Hackers or Product Hunt threads in a six-month search. One was positive; the rest complained about refunds, credits and support. The App Store's 4.0 average from 13 ratings suggests the wider picture is less negative than this small sample.
